Thanks to your donation of multiple shades of colored pencils, a classroom terrarium, magnetic building blocks, and charging ports for Chromebooks, our students have had access to tools that truly enrich their daily learning experiences. Each item has been put to immediate and enthusiastic use, and the excitement in the room has been wonderful to see.\r\n\r\nStudents are using the colored pencils to add creativity and depth to their projects, taking pride in their work as they explore new ways to express their ideas. The charging ports have been especially impactful, ensuring that Chromebooks are always ready so students can complete assignments, conduct research, and collaborate without interruption. The terrarium has quickly become a classroom favorite—students eagerly check on its growth each day, learning responsibility and developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic building blocks have also been a tremendous hit. They provide meaningful brain breaks while encouraging problem-solving, teamwork, and early engineering skills. Our students love designing and rebuilding their creations, practicing perseverance and creativity along the way. Because of your kindness, our classroom is more engaging, innovative, and inspiring. Thank you for investing in our students and helping them thrive—we are truly grateful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1762871009018,"projectUrl":"project/differentiated-learning-for-all-students/9460001/","projectTitle":"Differentiated Learning for All Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Carbajal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10045479"},{"teacherId":9061833,"projectId":8755062,"letterContent":"I am excited to share the amazing impact your generosity has had on our classroom environment. Thanks to your support, our students have been expanding their reading and communication skills in a world of imagination and learning with our new puppet theater and puppets from various fairy tales like \"The Three Little Pigs,\" \"Hansel and Gretel,\" and \"Little Red Riding Hood.\"\r\n\r\nSince we were gifted these resources, our classroom environment has significantly seen leaps in students' creativity, engagement, and excitement for reading! One way I have really utilized these puppets is by writing a readers theater script that includes the curriculum's targeted spelling pattern, sight words, and vocabulary words- while our curriculum includes books and stories that incorporate these elements, none are as exciting and engaging as the students bringing these stories to life through puppetry. Each student, even those who began as more timid, bring their own unique interpretations to the stories and characters, and it has been truly magical and inspiring to witness. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first laid eyes on the puppet theater and puppets, their faces lit up with pure wonder. The first week we had them, they eagerly explored the classic characters portrayed in the various fairytales. Since then, the students have really explored the puppets' versatility by using them in other stories and even writing/performing some of their very own! \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are incorporating these puppets into our current literacy lessons, where students will continue to explore narrative elements such as character development and plot sequencing through puppet performances. They will also work on creating their own puppet shows, fostering creativity, communication skills, and teamwork.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your incredible generosity and belief in our classroom. Your contribution has not only enriched our learning environment but has also ignited a passion for storytelling and imaginative play that will continue to inspire our students for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1731560512609,"projectUrl":"project/expanding-young-imaginations-through-rea/8755062/","projectTitle":"Expanding Young Imaginations Through Readers Theater!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Granado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9061833_orig.jpg?crop=2221,2221,x0,y51&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695348158694","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9061833"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59373","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":528,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"24.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":69.7,"schoolId":59373,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Verdemont Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Verdemont Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-bernardino-city-unified-school-district/north-verdemont-elementary-school/59373"}
