Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is truly astounding the number of students who consume their only meals at school. At my school, free breakfast is provided for all students and those students who qualify will receive free or reduced-price lunch. The number of kindergartners that come in and say that their stomach hurts because they are hungry is heart breaking. This project will allow me to have some healthy and substantial snacks on hand that can be put into their backpack or eaten at school. These items will also provide us opportunities to have a snack as a classroom family together.
