Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Physical Education at CES, we want to teach our younger kids (K-2) fundamental movement skills such as throwing a frisbee, personal space, and spatial awareness!

Unfortunately, we tried with plastic frisbees and OUCH!

Plastic frisbees are not ideal for our younger kids. We need foam frisbees for our younger students to make sure we don't have any jammed fingers, or accidental bumps on the head!

The gym tape will be used to create personal 'spots' where the children can stand! We want to tape down their 'spots' on the floor so the children know which spots they can throw the foam frisbees from!

Finally, we need hula hoops! Hula hoops help younger children identify what personal space is. The hula hoops create a barrier around them, and also teaches them spatial awareness when playing! Many of our hula hoops were from the local dollar store, and are now destroyed. We hope that you can help us get new ones!
