Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a very poor area, but I love that they do not let their surroundings define them. My students work hard in the classroom and love coming to class.

Their hard work and eagerness to learn makes me want to make their learning experience that much better.

I will do what I can to adapt my teaching strategies and outputs so that my students are able to learn about the biological world to the best of their ability.

My Project

Students who are visual learners are better able to view the way in which notes and worksheets are to be completed. Also, the students that have a difficult time comprehending lectures will be able to copy my notes, and then have time to reflect on them. This allows them to be more engaged during the lecture, rather than feverishly writing down words that they may not be comprehending.

With this doc cam, students will be able to follow along as I teach them how to become successful note takers.

As they move up in grades, the other teachers appreciate when the incoming students take well organized notes.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
