Next-Gen Console for Next-Gen Sports

My Project

Our eSports program at High School is continuously growing each season as we gain success. Last season we had three different teams reach the final fours in their respective leagues. Now our platform is beginning to transition to next-gen consoles because of the improved quality of gameplay. The next generation of gaming consoles is significantly more powerful than the current generation and offers an array of quality-of-life improvements. Both support resolutions and framerates up to 4x the current generation, making for sharper images and smoother, more responsive gameplay.

Our eSports program needs to start acquiring these next-gen consoles to be in compliance with the demands of the platform we use for competition.

This PlayStation 5 that we are requesting will be the first to replace the outdated PlayStation 4 consoles that we currently use for gameplay. Beginning in the fall 2024 season, all consoles must be next-gen consoles.

This PS5 digital version is less expensive than the disc version of the console and will be used for Madden and NBA2K gameplay as well as any future titles that could be added for competitive eSports. Please assist us with acquiring at least one PS5 console to keep our successful program at the top of its game.
