This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited to get to know new students. Our school is on the block schedule so January brings new classes. I want my students to be comfortable in my classes and to have everything they need to feel supported. I am requesting snacks to start the year off right. As I introduce a new subject or notice a student is struggling to pay attention, I like to be able to offer them something that will fill their stomach li

and put a smile on their face.

I am also requesting some writing materials to make their projects fun. The last project I did with my students required them to create posters and they loved it. They just asked me if I could get them some fine tip markers for next time. I’m looking forward to having those in my classroom. I am also asking for Romeo and Juliet graphic novels to help support their learning of that play! I can’t wait to get to know my new students and offer fun learning supports to them like snacks, writing materials, and graphic novels!
