These books will be enjoyed for many years to come. I covered each book in an extra cover to protect them from wear and tear. The messages that students learn from Scout about how to treat others will live inside them forever. The kids loved the other Lunar New Year themed activities too. It was fun to see the students rock the good luck and spirit of the season all year long. Students got to work with the legos in groups. The student pictured told me that she had seen those Legos in the store and she had wanted to put them together. I was happy to help make her dream come true. \r\n\r\nAll of the activities allowed us to come together as a group. We will continue our tradition again this year with the same spirit and an open heart to good luck and fortune. I have been using the paper cutter a lot. The last assignment that I created using it was valentines to characters in To Kill A Mockingbird. Students got to think about the personalities, relationships, and perspectives of the characters and show case them on the valentine. I love the post-its to mark important spots in our books. I have also been using the power point remote to click to the next slide on my computer while I move around the room. It gives me a chance to circulate around the room and monitor all of my students. I use the classroom timer the most. That is one of my favorite materials. I have also been using the laminator for different classroom projects. The leadership class also gets a chance to use the laminator. The students love the classroom borders around the board as pictured in one of the snapshots. I use the wet wipes to clean up. There's always things to clean up. The planner as pictured, is very helpful and very cute and stylish. I really appreciate your thought and encouragement.
