This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me and my students start this school year strong in a new classroom. Your donation will help us fund essential supplies for our "loaning station" including golf pencils for daily use, coloring supplies, chromebook chargers, and extension cords.

This year, I want to introduce year-long portfolios to help my students reflect on their progress.

The class sets of hanging folders will help me organize and manage their portfolios, and I can continue to use them year after year.

This year, I am stepping into a coordinator position for the first time. I will be leading my school's AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) College and Career program. This program aims to address the opportunity gap by providing academic support and community building for first-generation college students. The AVID program was only able to fund 1 class set of binders, binder dividers, and journals for our 90 students. Your support will help me provide enough organizational supplies for everyone.
