My Students

I am an English 1 and 2 teacher. In my classroom, we make memories, work hard, and celebrate achievements.

My students are diverse, unique, and full of life--they all learn differently, but one thing is the same; they are all capable of moving mountains.

No matter the home life, IQ, race, or gender of my students, I believe they are all capable of succeeding in my class, in high school, in college, and in life. I hope to give these students the tools that they need to move forward and be the best that they can be. Diversity is celebrated in my classroom, and I strive to make each student feel welcome and at home. These are more than just my students, they are family.

My Project

This project will add more YA novels to my classroom library, including stories that celebrate diversity. I always strive to add more literature into my classroom library, and I love when the novels represent different types of students. I also chose some novels that are nonfiction and could help students think about their future and improve their mindfulness. I feel like these could be very beneficial to students.

This project also includes novels about successful people that could serve as great examples for students.

As always, I want to encourage my students to be the best versions of themselves, and this is one way that I can do that!
