My Project

Imagine walking into a classroom where you don't understand what anyone around you is saying.

That is a scary feeling that all of my students have experienced. Please help me bring new technology into the classroom. A MacBook would be incredibly helpful and allow us to connect to the SmartBoard and make learning come alive in the classroom. Students would be able to work together to access a variety of learning games as well as to learn how to publish work using programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint which are critical skills to learn. The TPT gift card would allow me to purchase a variety of differentiated resources for the varied learners in the classroom.

My scholars are amazing!

They are all English language learners and represent countries from all over the world. This past year, they came from Bahrain, Brazil, Cape Verde, the Dominican Republic, Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Kuwait, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Uganda.

They are budding scientists. They love to read complex texts and explore writing in their new language. They love learning new words and are proud of the amazing words they learn. You often hear these new English speakers using words like boisterous, metamorphosis, perplexed, and many others. They come to school to work hard every day and have overcome many challenges in their lives; they are very resilient.

The goal of this project is to support instruction across the curriculum in all subject areas and make learning come alive!
