Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These upcoming second graders will be the first wave of students coming back to in-person learning. I have heard great news about these upcoming second graders and how they have amazing hearts and try to be kind to each other especially during this difficult time in distance learning.

I have built and fostered an environment where new and past students can feel safe and loved.

We do have students who come from homeless shelters, programs, single-family homes, farm-worker parents, and foster care. Although they have many obstacles in their lives, a barrier to receiving a proper education is not one of them.

My Project

We have less than a week left of our winter break and we are in need of supplies to start our new year right. As my students progress through the second grade, I wanted to introduce them to mechanical pencils. These pencils will be a great motivator for them to use during writing.

The file sorter that I am requesting will be a great organizer for my kids laptops to be stored during the day.

This will help prevent chaos when they are looking for their laptop amongst the others.

The dry erase pens and erasers are always needed when we are practicing our spelling words, phonics pattern, and math.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
