New Headphones

Help me give my students new headphones to use in class to reduce distractions.

My Project

I am requesting your help in obtaining headphones that students will use with the classroom iPads and laptops in class so that I can use my resources to deliver up to date materials through the use of the Internet and resources that I have in electronic format. We will have access to the text and resources through applications that will allow students to learn in an innovative way. The iPad (previously donated) and headphones will also be used for a variety of projects including fitness logs and testing. I teach health education to students who come from the highest risk backgrounds for a variety of health issues. Drugs, alcohol, diabetes, high blood pressure, mental health, teen pregnancy, etc. Having textbooks that are over 15 years old is not ideal and having these headphones will allow me to teach in a college bound environment through PowerPoint's and use media and technology resources to bring the best information possible to my classroom.

This small project will help hundreds of students who are at-risk, poverty stricken and have the highest needs.

You can truly make a difference. I have had great success with Donorschoose and support of donors has allowed me to turn my classroom into an environment where students come to learn and focus on what can be, not on what has been. This project will allow students to use nutrition websites and apps without disturbing the rest of the class with the noise from the iPad.
