This is one of the toughest parts of the year. There is a large gap between Winter and Spring break that can feel endless to a student (and their teachers). These snacks truly sometimes made the day happen for students. \r\n\r\nWe also needed these snacks during the month of Ramadan in a way I did not expect. Some students would realize during the day they were unable to fast, particularly our female students, and needed something to fuel their bodies. Others knew they had work right after school and were unable to pack anything to break their fast. And then, for students who did not participate, these snacks allowed them to be respectful of their friends fasting, such as avoiding the lunch room with them, but still eat something with substance to get through their day. \r\n\r\nThe CHOMPs went so fast my students were so grateful! Full of protein and, normally, these sticks have pork in them that many of my students cannot eat for religious regions.
