Help me give my students some new drum set hardware to go with our recently purchased new drum set. A new throne, hi-hat stand and bass drum pedal will replace aging hardware from the old drum set.
I currently teach music at a large 9th-12th grade high school in Alaska. We are a growing band program with many students involved in the band and jazz band classes as well as percussion and steel drum ensemble. Our school is one of the largest in the state with approximately 1650 students.
I am happy to serve these wonderful students in our area and take great pride in building their skills as musicians.
They are the reason I continue teaching music each day for the past 20 years. To see their eyes light up when they finally conquer that difficult passage in their music is a highlight of my day.
I am in the process of re-building this band program from the ground up. Many of my initial projects are aimed to replace dated or damaged classroom materials for student use.
Thank you so much for taking a peek into my classroom.
My Project
Our school recently had a DonorChoose project funded that purchased a new drum set for our school which is wonderful! Unfortunately, This new drum set doesn’t come with new hardware such as a drum throne, hi-hat stand, or bass drum pedal. It is critical that these items also be replaced.
This project will purchase new drum set hardware for our new drum set.
Currently we are using the old hardware with the new drum set. The hi-hat stand, drum throne, and bass pedal need replaced as they are several years old and are nearing the end of their usable lifespan.
