This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At Sabal Palm Elementary, our balls are falling apart. They have rips in them, many of them have the gator skin ripped completely off of it and are entirely foam. These balls are crucial to many units, games, and activities that our students learn from.

The gator skin balls help teach our students proper throwing and catching techniques without the fear of getting hurt.The students are more willing to learn and participate because the gator skin balls don't hurt.

Our throwing/catching unit as well as our striking unit involve many games such as volleyball, messy backyard, and more.

By providing our school with new gator skin balls, we will be able to get rid of our old equipment and teach students how to throw, catch, and strike safely.
