These books have been a fantastic addition to our classroom library, giving students more opportunities to explore different genres, discover new interests, and build confidence in their reading abilities.\r\nIn our classroom, we use books throughout the day during independent reading, small-group instruction, and whole-group lessons. These new texts allow students to practice important third-grade reading skills, such as identifying the central idea, describing characters, determining theme, making inferences, and supporting their answers with evidence from the text. Students are also strengthening their vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension as they explore fiction, nonfiction, biographies, and classic literature. I especially love seeing students become excited about choosing books and sharing what they have read with their classmates.\r\nYour generosity has helped create a classroom environment where students have more opportunities to grow as readers and develop a genuine enjoyment of books. Everyday, based on positive behavior performance, the kids are provided with a snack cart. Depending on where they are in a level system, they get to pick their snack. One of the boxes in snack cart is called 'Golden Box,' the kids are aware that when they have a near perfect day, they get to pick from this box. This box includes the most preferred snacks (chips, takis, oreos, candy, etc.) Snack cart is provided each day and the children look forward to the cart coming around to their classroom, some of the older kids may even earn getting to roll the cart into the other classrooms! Their reactions immediately reminded me that sometimes the smallest rewards can provide the biggest motivation.\r\n\r\nMy students in grades 2–5 earn opportunities to visit the treasure chest by working hard, following directions, demonstrating good digital citizenship, helping others, and persevering when a technology skill is challenging. It has been wonderful to watch students become excited about reaching a goal and then proudly choosing their reward. My kindergarten students especially love receiving stickers! For many of them, a colorful sticker is the perfect way to celebrate completing a technology activity, learning a new skill, or simply doing their very best.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments is watching a student successfully complete something that was difficult for them—whether it is learning to use the mouse, navigating a new program, improving their keyboarding skills, or solving a problem independently—and then seeing how proud they are when their effort is recognized.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building students' independence and confidence with technology. As they move through new lessons and projects, I want them to understand that success isn't only about getting the right answer. It is also about effort, persistence, problem-solving, kindness, and being willing to try again when something doesn't work the first time.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, I now have another fun and meaningful way to celebrate those successes. These play experiences have provided valuable opportunities for communication and social-emotional learning in a way that is engaging and meaningful for our young learners.\r\nWe were lucky enough to have an amazing staff member, Ms. Suehey, assemble the dollhouse for the class. When the dollhouse first arrived, my students were very excited. We let them fill all the rooms with furniture and set it up. This time was great for working on household vocabulary and talking about what each room in the house is used for. The dollhouse has quickly become a favorite classroom resource and helping them engage with peers and participate in cooperative play activities.\r\nAs we continue our learning, we are using the dollhouse to support lessons about families, community helpers, daily routines, and social skills. Students are practicing problem-solving through guided play scenarios. We are excited to build on these skills by encouraging more collaborative play experiences and expanding students' language development through role-playing activities. Using these materials, we created a Mel Fisher–inspired pop-up museum and a Florida and American Revolution literary scavenger hunt that challenged students to dig deeply into nonfiction text features, analyze sources, and demonstrate strong reading comprehension skills. Over 200 students in grades 3–5 participated, actively engaging with history through reading, writing, and critical thinking.\r\n\r\nWhen students first encountered the pop-up museum and scavenger hunt stations, their excitement was immediate and contagious.
