My Students

Our students come from many diverse backgrounds with 100% of our students receiving free lunch. They attend an inner-city school where more than half of the students commute for the education we provide. We have healthy foods and a garden, and we speak seven different languages at home. Our campus is inclusive, where all able bodied students learn differentiated, grade level curriculum.

Our school is a bright, happy place where a university education is our goal!

Students learn in classrooms where experience solidifies the curriculum! Our walls are covered in student innovation and creativity! Students are always encouraged to voice their opinions!

My Project

Our day begins and ends in a Social Emotional Learning circle on the rug. Groups meet on the rug for academic and creative collaboration. They lay down on that rug and read silently. Our rug is a place to conduct peace using Restorative Justice.

Our classroom rug is our conference table in 5th grade.

That rug over the past 14 years has seen better days. It is no longer able to be shampooed. Our donated vacuum dies in October of 2021.

So now we need to replace our old rug and broken vacuum. Please help us replace them both.
