Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day I see students ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade come through the library. They are constantly checking out the same books or not checking out books at all. Some students don't check out simply because they can't find what they want or what they want is an older book that is no longer relevant to their needs. I want to give them new and exciting titles that are not only relevant with up to date information.

I am hoping these new books will be so exciting that they will inspire the love of reading in all students that walk through the library doors.

My students are from lower income families with a wide diverse nature and they deserve to have new and exciting titles in their library even when our library is currently underfunded.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
