Needed Math Manipulatives! Part 2 Title I

My students need magnetic multiplication arrays, visualize math write and wipe boards, and a jumbo timer.

My Students

Our math classroom includes lots of activity! My students are always working with math manipulatives and dry erase boards to share their work with their peers. I am determined to provide them with tangible experiences with abstract math concepts!

Our Title I school has 100% participation in the free/reduced lunch program.

My students enjoy math, and we are working together to have them become better problem-solvers. My goal is to reach them through tangible or concrete mediums. I would like to make learning math concepts more visual, hands-on and engaging for all of my students.

My Project

The students will use the multiplication array chart, and the wipe boards to further their understand of math concepts. They will also be used in small group as review. What students wouldn't want to show their knowledge of arrays and multiplication properities on the magnetic array chart? It will encourage students to share their thinking processes. In my classroom I also have some students who find it helpful to see a timer to assist with their time management. All students will be able to see the timer and know exactly how much time they have with an activity.

Making a donation to this project will benefit my students in mathematics.

They will use the maniputlatives to further their understanding of critical math concepts, which they will build upon in upcoming years.
