My Project

Our school’s athletic department is committed to providing safe and meaningful opportunities for students to participate in sports, but our current soccer goals are broken and no longer usable, creating a serious issue for our program. Soccer goals are essential equipment that allow students to practice, compete, and develop their skills, and without them, it becomes difficult to run structured practices or host games. Beyond limiting participation, broken or damaged goals create unsafe conditions that can put students at risk. Safety guidelines emphasize that soccer goals must be regularly inspected and that any damaged equipment should be replaced immediately to reduce the risk of injury. When goals are unstable, rusted, or structurally compromised, they may fail during use, making it impossible for students to train effectively. In addition, damaged equipment does not meet safety standards or inspection requirements, which can prevent teams from using the field altogether. Replacing our soccer goals is essential not only to restore the functionality of our program but also to ensure that our students have access to a safe and reliable environment where they can learn, compete, and grow as athletes.

The need for new soccer goals is also critical from a student safety perspective.

Broken or unsecured soccer goals can pose severe hazards, including the risk of tipping over or collapsing, which has been linked to serious injuries and even fatalities. These goals can weigh hundreds of pounds and, if unstable, can cause significant harm if they fall on a student. Properly manufactured and maintained soccer goals are designed to be stable, secure, and anchored, reducing the likelihood of accidents and ensuring a safer playing environment. Investing in new, high-quality soccer goals will allow our athletic department to meet safety expectations, prevent avoidable injuries, and provide peace of mind for students, staff, and families.
