The materials will help make a difference by allowing the students to read about situations they have been in. It gives them the chance to learn that their feelings, fears, and or problems are normal. The books will teach them that they are not the only ones who have these experiences and give them examples of how to overcome them. I believe that SEL books can meet students where they are developmentally and give them room to grow as an individual! The books above will focus on understanding their emotions, for example, Frustration, Anger, and Sadness, and how to differentiate between them. By pairing the books to practice lessons in a group setting or individually will allow them to put their newly gained knowledge into action.
