My Students

I am a third-year PreK teacher and have 16 incredible student explorers. My students spend their school year exploring through play and guidance.

As a teacher of young minds, I vow to provide the best school that I can, no matter what challenges are put in front of us.

I will create a loving learning environment where my students can and will thrive.

My students are between the ages of 4 and 5 years old, and they need hands-on experiences in order to understand their world; many don't always come to school fully rested or have enough food in their bellies.

My Project

I teach such an incredible group of PreK students who have worked so hard up to this point to learn to recognize all 26 letters of the alphabet and learn the letter sounds. We are now at that part of the year where we will begin to write our first and last names in order to be prepared for Kindergarten success! My students LOVE using dry erase markers and whiteboards during school so I figured we could combine our love of learning materials to start to recognize, identify letters in, and write our names at school and at home.

I have requested lined whiteboards, dry erase markers and erasers, and magnetic alphabet letters so my students can use the whiteboards to write their names and the magnetic letters to build their names at school and at home.

It would be a dream to create a traveling kit where students could practice building their names with the magnetic letters and then using the other materials to write their letters to their names. With your support, our dream could be a reality!
