As a school nurse, I see students with a wide range of health needs, and having the supplies we requested available in our clinic means I can respond more quickly and help students get back to learning, playing, and being with their classmates.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new supplies arrive! To them, these may seem like simple clinic materials, but for a student who needs something from the nurse, having the right supplies available can make a stressful moment feel much easier and more comfortable.\r\n\r\nWhen the package arrived, the kids helped me unbox the spacers. They wrote their names on each one and packed them into their own Asthma bags, which they decorated with stickers! It was such a sweet way for them to take ownership of something that will help them feel prepared and supported at school.\r\n\r\nOur next step is continuing to build a well-stocked, welcoming school clinic where students know they can come when they need help. It is the perfect size to fit under our Number Corner whiteboard. It serves two purposes - one, as a quiet space for children to work when they get overstimulated during whole group time, and two, as a home for our light table during play centers.\r\n\r\nThe adjustable legs are great because they allow us to lower the table for when students are seated (they love to use wiggle stools!) and raise it when students would prefer to stand. Some of our seats were sent and they have been incredibly helpful for our students. Two of our students who have a lot of energy are really thriving in seats with backs on them. We received magnetic bins and strong magnets to put together our new Number Corner area. The first cart holds all of the Number Corner supplies in a way that I can easily access everything each day.\r\n\r\nThe second cart organizes everything I need for the whole-group lesson by day of the week and work places.
