This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A good mystery can pull you in and make you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. Mysteries might make you bite your nails or hide your eyes, but you cannot stop reading until you have figured it out.

Mysteries stimulate critical thinking and problem solving skills and build creative thinking, which are important life skills.

Students in my district do not have a lot of reading options and very few own books to read at home, so they depend on our class library to find books that entice them to read. These books will help build students' critical thinking skills as they match wits with fictional villains and clever detectives to solve the mystery. They might even figure our that they're learning while they read!
