My Healthy Heart

Help me give my students an opportunity to personalize their fitness goals. By using heart rate monitors, they will be able to better develop their own fitness plans.

My Project

My students are inner-city special education students. I would like to start a project with them using heart rate monitors. The monitors would allow them to see how exercise positively affects their hearts.

I plan on having the students use the monitors to compare different activities and exercises and track how they affect their heart rate.

This will help them develop and follow a personalized fitness plan that they can develop.

By using the monitors and developing their own fitness plan, my students will become healthier and more physically fit.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
