Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a variety of students who have a variety of needs which can cause them to struggle with regulating their emotions. During the day my students become very overwhelmed and overstimulated by all of the activities happening around the school. It can be very hard for them to regulate their bodies!

My students want to be able to regulate their bodies so they are able to learn easier.

By receiving the musical Jack-In-The-Box toys I will be able to create a calm-down area where students can go when they are feeling overwhelmed. While in this area they will be able to use the different musical Jack-In-The-Box to help regulate their bodies and get back to a place where they are calm and can properly engage with other students. I have found that music is extremely helpful for students and listening to the music when they turn on the Jack-In-The-Box is very helpful for them!

My students love to learn; these materials will be such a huge help for them to learn how to calm their bodies down!
