Music for 16 Musicians

My Project

My high school band is for grades 8-12. Currently there are 16 students in my band when they can all attend. Due to various scheduling conflicts that happen in a small school, I only ever get to see all 16 on the day of the concert. Believe it or not, having 16 students is over the 10% average of the high school student population that typically is in band. Because we are so small, our instrumentation is quite unique. I have 1 flute (a young shy 8th grader), 2 clarinets (both having only played a year), a couple trombones, a couple trumpets and a pile of saxophones. Add to that 2 young percussionists and an electric bass, and well. It's creates some unique sounds.

But they love to play and make music.

The traditional music out there is often heavily reliant on low brass and upper woodwinds, which I don't have many of. This flex music will help us to play quality, classic repertoire that sounds good, regardless of instrumentation.
