I am a middle school special education teacher in the middle of the Northwoods of Wisconsin. This means that most of my boys (yes, I call my students my boys!) love hunting, fishing, camping, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. Besides life skills like cooperation, perseverance, and being prepared, I teach reading intervention, math and science, and co-teach/provide support in the 8th grade English and Social Studies classes. My boys are highly active, rarely sit still, and learn best when they can move. Hands-on activities such as the marble roller coaster you see above really get and hold my boys interest.
