Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students at SS K-8 come to us bringing so much passion and joy to learning! Our third graders love seeing themselves and their home cultures represented in their classroom.

In celebrating students from a broad range of cultures, it is vital that we provide books and supplies that reflect the language and heritage of all young learners.

Books in Arabic, Vietnamese, and Somali represent some of our multilingual learners, while graphic novels help develop vital growth in the English language.

Vital classroom supplies will also provide third graders with necessary organization and classic classroom tools.
