This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Utilizing production machines for fundraising can have several positive impacts on students' learning experiences. Operating production machines involves practical, hands-on experience. Students can actively participate in setting up, running, and managing the machines. This hands-on approach fosters skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, providing valuable real-world experience. Fundraising activities with these machines can instill entrepreneurial skills in students. They learn about budgeting, pricing, marketing, and customer service. These experiences help develop a sense of responsibility and an understanding of basic business concepts. Managing the funds raised from the popcorn and cotton candy sales allows students to learn about financial literacy. They can be involved in counting money, keeping records, and understanding the financial aspects of a project, contributing to their overall financial education. Implementing a fundraising project with these machines allows for project-based learning. Students can apply academic concepts in a practical setting, reinforcing their understanding of subjects like math, marketing, and communication. This approach makes learning more meaningful and relevant.

The primary goal is to raise funds to support various educational initiatives, such as extracurricular activities, field trips, or resources that enhance the overall learning experience.

Provide students with opportunities to develop practical skills, including teamwork, communication, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Foster a strong connection between the school and the local community by organizing events that bring people together. Use the project as a platform for applying academic knowledge in a real-world context, promoting a deeper understanding of various subjects.

My students are young immigrants assimilating to this country. They are very excited to apply their English skills while fundraising.
