My Students

Middle School is when many students learn to either love or hate math. Please help these students become math lovers!

As a middle school mathematics teacher, I have the opportunity to impact the future.

My students possess the natural ability and desire to learn and grow. However, on average, my students enter my classroom already a grade level behind their wealthy suburban peers.

My Project

With the resources I have selected, I will better able to reach all the learners in my classroom. I have selected a web cam which I will use a a document camera to project my notes, student work, pictures and many other useful images on the screen for all students to see clearly. I asked for books that will help me make my instruction more interesting and more specific to the varied levels of my students to ensure they all make gains and meet or exceed their goals. I asked for a class set of the book, Math Doesn't Suck. This book is an excellent resource for my classes and really breaks down the concepts in easy to remember ways. I makes the math fun.

The students in my classroom and at my school have the opportunity to beat the odds.

Because of our extended day and year, we have time to catch them up and then move them to the top. The donation you make to help these students will not just change their lives now, but in the future.
