Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first year teacher and starting my very first classroom in fall 2024. I will need a lot of supplies to get my classroom library started! I want to give my students the diverse classroom library that every student deserves to experience.

I hope that all my students feel represented in some way by the texts they find in our class library.

I also hope they can use these books as windows into lives unlike their own. Reading is extremely important to me as I want it to be for my students. If you can support it will be much appreciated by myself and future students. In addition to books, we need flagship carpet seats for my students to utilize while they are reading these amazing books.
