My Project

My fifth grade students would greatly benefit from flexible seating because it allows them to learn in ways that match their individual needs. Traditional desks and chairs do not work for every child, especially during long periods of reading, writing, and collaboration. Flexible seating options such as the couches and stools requested, along with floor seats, and wobble stools already purchased by my school, give students the opportunity to move, adjust their posture, and choose a space where they feel comfortable and focused.

When students are comfortable, they are better able to concentrate, participate in discussions, and stay engaged with their learning.

Flexible seating also encourages independence and responsibility, as students learn to select the seating option that helps them do their best work. By creating a classroom environment that supports movement, comfort, and choice, flexible seating will help my students stay focused, work collaboratively, and develop a positive attitude toward learning.
