Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'm fortunate to be able to share a classroom with 60 of the kindest, most caring, and thoughtful group of kiddos. We have been able to cultivate a loving and caring classroom, and I am eager to beautify their space.

Our classroom is in need of a peaceful reading lounge.

A place where students can escape and find comfort within a good book. A place that is warm, safe, and inviting. My students really enjoy being in school, and I want to create a space that lets them know that they are valued and cared for. Thank you for your help in making this happen for my kiddos :)

My Project

These materials will help me create a comfy reading lounge for my students that will not only act as a quiet place to enjoy a good book but will also function as a peace corner where students can escape when they need a moment to themselves. The rug will allow the students not to have to sit on the cold floor. The bean bags will provide a fun and comfortable seating option. The hanging bookshelves will create extra storage for our books so we can get rid of older shelves that take up too much space, and the LED lights will allow the students to enjoy their stories in lighting of their choosing :)
