My Project

Welcome to Mr. Kearney’s HBCU Hall of Scholars! Hello! My name is Mr. Kendall Kearney, and I am excited to begin my 4th year of teaching 5th grade Reading and Science. My classroom is built around a North Carolina HBCU theme, where students are encouraged to dream big, work hard, and develop the pride, excellence, leadership, and perseverance that HBCUs have inspired for generations. Every day, I strive to create a classroom where students feel valued, challenged, and excited to learn.

My goal is to provide engaging, hands-on experiences that help every child succeed academically while building confidence and a love of learning.

Your support through this DonorsChoose project will directly impact my students by providing resources they use every day. Headphones will allow students to participate in individualized reading and learning activities without distractions. Craft materials will encourage creativity through interactive science investigations, literacy projects, and collaborative classroom activities. Indoor and outdoor recess equipment will help students stay active, build teamwork, and recharge so they can return to learning focused and ready to succeed. Flexible seating stools will enable students to participate in small group activities.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps create opportunities for my students to learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you for believing in my classroom and investing in the future of these amazing scholars. Together, we can help every student reach their full potential.
