Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have dedicated 14 years to teaching grades 1–3, but next year marks an exciting new chapter as I transition to Kindergarten. My goal is to foster a collaborative and engaging environment where students can develop into lifelong learners.

The items on my classroom list are specifically selected to support young learners as they develop the foundational literacy and writing skills necessary for a successful transition to first grade.

For example, resources such as the Educational Insights Playfoam Shape & Learn Alphabet Set and the ABC sand models will provide the tactile experiences needed to strengthen letter recognition and phonetic awareness.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
