Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, energetic, and capable learners who bring different strengths and learning styles into our science classroom. They are excited to participate in hands-on activities, collaborate with their classmates, and explore how science connects to the world around them. However, sitting still for long periods can be challenging for some students, making it harder for them to maintain focus and fully participate in their learning.

Flexible seating and movement tools will give my students the freedom to find a way of working that helps them focus, engage, and be successful.

The requested items will provide appropriate opportunities for students to move, fidget, and change positions while completing assignments, reading, writing, and participating in scientific activities. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students can comfortably regulate their movement without disrupting their learning or the learning of others.

With this project, I hope to increase student focus, engagement, and participation while creating a classroom where students feel supported and empowered to learn in ways that work best for them. These resources will help turn my classroom into a more welcoming and flexible learning space where every student has the opportunity to be successful.
