My students need equipment to keep active and promote physical activity. My goal is to have enough jump ropes and scooters for each student in class.

My Students

Help my students develop a lifelong love for physical activity. With over 500 kids rotating through my class several times each week, I want them to remain as physically active as possible during each 45 minute class we have together.

Over 500 students walk through the doors of our school every day.

These kids come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. They have a lot of pride in being part of our community and show their spirit each week by wearing something purple on Purple Fridays!

My Project

Have you ever jumped rope Double Dutch style? The kids are learning to Double Dutch and love it!!! But we need a jump rope rack so our variety of ropes don't get tangled each time we use them. Right now we have tetherball poles on the playground but our balls are old and very hard, too hard for our smaller kids. The kids lineup to play during recess and we want to make this a safe environment for everyone. The scooters and scooter stackers will allow us to transition safely from activity to activity. This gives us more time to move and have fun together during class.

It is so important to teach our young people about the role of physical activity in maintaining good health.

I want for all 500 of my students to learn to enjoy physical activity and the benefits that come with it.
