Movement Analysis

Help me give my students 5 iPads to assist in new ways of learning in Physical Education.

My Students

These High School students are amazing young people with the desire to be educated. They come from all different backgrounds and bring unique personalities to our PE classes. When we get playing games and doing activities as a class, we become united in our goals of learning and exercising together.

It is amazing to see how these young people care for each other and the content they are learning.

Throughout the year they work in large and small groups to learn many different skills and sports.

My Project

In PE classes we learn new skills that help students to perform in different sports. We practice and try to break down skills to help students to become proficient. It is one thing to watch a partner perform a skill live and try to break down the movements, but imagine if the students could use slow motion recording to breakdown the movement segments. They now can watch themselves performing the movements instead of just watching a partner.

Technology can improve learning in all subject areas, even physical education!

Along with video breakdowns, there are many apps that can track things such as heart rate and much more!
