My students need Wobble chairs, stability cushions, bouncy bands for desks, and Giaim balance balls to provide flexible seating options which will allow their bodies to be active and their brains to be focused.

My Students

The students in my "K/1 Crew" love learning! They are enthusiastic, full of energy and love to sing and dance (just like me)! They enjoy being active throughout the day; brain breaks for us are a must! I feel so lucky to start my day with 26 smiles and hugs each morning.

This group is resilient!

Many know first-hand about poverty, trauma, and living in less than desirable housing situations. Yet, they continue to amaze me with their positive attitudes. We are an amazing school family!

My Project

My kindergarten and first grade learners are eager to learn but often struggle with sitting still and staying focused during academic instruction and work sessions. Finding ways to manage the wiggles and keep kiddos focused on learning has been an ongoing struggle for me as an educator.

Implementing flexible seating in our classroom such as WOBBLE chairs, stability cushions, bouncy bands, and balance balls will impact student learning and empower my students.

Students will be taught to choose seating options that allow them to move their bodies as necessary, be relaxed, and comfortable. This in turn will keep their brains focused and engaged, resulting in more learning stamina. So, let's move our feet and find our best learning seat!
