My Project

Students are motivated by Jolly Ranchers.

I created a game called the "Jolly Rancher Challenge".

In this game the students write their own questions and compete with each other to solve questions. It's a group activity. Not only do the students enjoy playing the game but they learn from creating their own questions. The students also run the game so it's 100% for the students by the students. A great joy to see students highly motivated to think of questions that they could ask others of what they've been learning in science.

I added more mechanical pencils and lead because there's something magical about the kids having their own private pencils.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
