My Project

In our third-grade classroom, we believe that learning should be exciting, motivating, and full of positive energy! My students work hard every day, and I’m always looking for fun, meaningful ways to recognize their effort, perseverance, and kindness. That’s why I’m creating a “Motivation Station”—a vintage-style gumball machine filled with surprise rewards that students can earn through good behavior, academic growth, and classroom contributions. This project includes a classic pink gumball machine and hundreds of colorful capsules that we’ll fill with exciting prizes such as glow-in-the-dark slime charms, mini animal figurines, cute erasers, sticky slappy hands, and bouncy balls.

These small treasures are more than just fun trinkets—they represent moments of pride and encouragement, especially for students who thrive on tangible recognition.

The Motivation Station will be used to reinforce classroom values like responsibility, teamwork, and resilience. Students might earn a token to use the machine by mastering a math concept, reaching a reading goal, showing extra kindness, or staying focused during a tough assignment. The mystery of what’s inside the capsule adds an extra layer of excitement!

In a low-income school setting, many of my students don’t always have access to small treats or rewards at home. This project will help ensure that every student feels seen and celebrated. It's a powerful way to build confidence, create joy, and make school feel like a place where effort truly pays off.

These small rewards will bring big smiles and make our classroom feel magical. Thank you so much for helping me bring this idea to life!
