Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is full of artists and thinkers, even if they don't know it yet. In our grade level, we rotate classes once a day to specifically target needs. This includes opportunities for enrichment.

I would love to help these scholars extend their learning with special STEM projects.

In a school with many learning English as a second language, providing rich experiences can serve as a critical starting point for writing and vocabulary. The supplies in this project such as craft sticks, cardboard tubes, coffee filters, markers, tissue paper, bags, and etc.) will provide a jumping-off point for students as we accelerate our thinking by creating new experiences to discuss and investigate. With each project, we engage in discourse and writing activities to build language skills. These projects also build community, allowing students to strengthen skills in teamwork and scientific thinking!
