My Project

Social and emotional learning is the foundation of humanity. In order to be a well-rounded human in a complex world, we need to know how to understand our emotions, learn coping tools when we face complex feelings, and turn inside out; thinking about perspective taking. Students also need to know that their identities matter, amongst SO many other things. This then helps a student learn and grow, meaning they can tackle academic content, like literacy.

Please help fund social and emotional learning materials for my students, as well as literacy activities.

This project includes materials for identifying feelings and emotions, such as memory match games, scenarios, affirmation work, and more. There are hands-on sensory materials, like bubblers, to put in our take a break spot to help with coping. There are teacher manuals to help guide me in what lessons I think would best serve my students. There are also materials, such as velcro dots, magnet dots, tacky stickers, and laminating sheets for putting together materials for visuals. Literacy activities would include sand for writing sight words in a multi-sensory way.
