This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my science enrichment class, we often talk about plants, but wouldn't it be better to watch them grow over time in beautiful raised beds we can keep outside our classroom?

The mobile planters are child height so the students can comfortably plant, water, and weed as they nurture their seeds to maturation.

Rather than just planting a seed in a cup and sending it home, we can keep our plants growing to the point that they flower or fruit. Imagine the fun if we grow vegetables and then get to eat our homegrown salad in class!

Help me inspire my students to grow their own food and flowers! They will learn all about what plants need to survive, plant structures and adaptations, and the patience and perseverance needed to have a successful garden!
