Making learning accessible, engaging, and relevant for students is essential for motivation and long-term learning that will make a difference in the future lives my students lead. My students are most enthusiastic when they have materials in their hands to solve a problem or create a solution. Students who might otherwise disengage become highly involved when they have the opportunity to build something, test it, revise it, and test it again. I see a lot of potential mechanical engineers and other STEM careers in their future--if I can get them to see *themselves* in those fields. Nothing is more convincing than having successful experiences to build upon. These kits will allow students to design, build, and test robots--something every kid is fascinated by. Help me give them that opportunity.
