My Project

I love how creative, resilient, and emotionally intelligent my students are. They are eager to express themselves and support one another, but often lack the tools and safe spaces to do so. This project will provide them with access to an Apple iMac that will empower them to create a multimedia mental health hub, combining video storytelling, calming audio content, and a student-designed chatbot. These resources will not only enhance their digital literacy but also give them a voice to share their experiences and support their peers in meaningful ways.

Imagine a student feeling overwhelmed, clicking on a classmate’s guided meditation, or watching a short video that reminds them they’re not alone.

That’s the kind of impact this project will have. With the iMac, students will be able to record podcasts, edit videos, and build a simple chatbot that offers mental health tips and encouragement. These tools will help them develop empathy, communication skills, and emotional awareness, all while learning valuable tech skills. This project is more than just a tech upgrade; it’s a step toward building a more compassionate and connected school community.
