Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It has been a difficult time for all students. The supplies (stickers, bubble pencils, anxiety rings) really hone in on skills taught in the comprehensive school counseling program, including mindfulness. The students at FPGB love sensory items that help ground them.

One of the items, the Color Monster Game will be a great resource as I host small groups and individual school counseling for students needing support in emotional awareness and regulation.

As I a school counselor I prioritize the emotional wellness of my students because emotional regulation indeed supports academic achievement.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
