My Project

In our classrooms, even small moments of dysregulation can quickly impact students’ ability to focus, learn, and connect with others. The students benefit from structured opportunities to pause, reset, and build self-awareness throughout the day. What makes them special is their willingness to try, their creativity, and the growth they show when given the right supports.

This project will provide consistent, proactive strategies that help students develop the skills to manage emotions, stay engaged, and take ownership of their learning, creating a strong foundation for both academic and personal success.

This project will make a meaningful difference by equipping the school counselor and teachers with practical, easy-to-use tools from the Yoga 4 Classrooms training and Kit 2 materials, including the program manual. The school counselor will complete the training and facilitate ongoing professional learning sessions with teachers to support consistent and effective implementation across grades 1–4. The kit includes the Yoga 4 Classrooms Activity Cards, Focus Chime, and Breathing Ball, along with supplemental resources such as Yoga for Children, Yoga for Children Yoga Cards, and the I Grow With Yoga MP3 album with movement cues.

These resources will guide mindful moments and movement, helping students improve focus, behavior, and social-emotional skills.

The goal is to increase engagement, reduce disruptions, and build stronger, more inclusive classroom communities.
