This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are high-school and elementary students who would benefit and learn about Mexican culture through dance.

Folklorico dancing is a wide discipline in which students can gain confidence and self-esteem, besides learning about art.

The skirts I'm asking for will help me to introduce upper-body movements and more challenging choreographies to my students. We aim to have different presentations in our community, hence the practice of different "faldeos".

Folk dance can be contextualized as a means of stimulating discipline and commitment, helping students to commit, helping students to face challenges that involve the different aspects and generalities that are part of this art, and helping to develop sensitivity through music.
